Transomatic of Des Plaines

I went to this place on a recommendation from another place bc of a possible transmission problem even tho the sound was coming from the wheel. I was told to bring it in at 8am. I did and the front desk guy had his mechanic take it on a test drive so we could point out the sound. They took it in for further diagnosis, that’s when things got bad. First they didn’t even get it on a lift til 4pm, they close at 6. I had to call at 5:45 to find out it had to stay overnight and they didn’t even know what was wrong. I needed my transmission fixed as control panel went bad. I went on google and found Transomatic. Reviews were great. I took the car in for a free evaluation as I did not know what was wrong. Dominic was amazing. He was honest and was able to fix my daughter's car quickly. He was able to fix in house without needing GM which kept the cost down. I highly recommend using Transomatic for your repairs! Honest, fair, trustworthy!!!

They did a wonderful job on my 2013 dodge Durango and fast too. Transmission rebuild and car runs like new. Will definitely recommend. Dominic and staff are great people.

Dominick was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. His team rebuilt the transmission on my SUV. They did an excellent job and the price was competitive. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend them.

Super awesome place! Friendly, straightforward, fair, timely, helpful, honest, I could go on! I came here on the recommendation of my siblings who were very happy with their services, and I was blown away by just how upstanding they were. They got me in to look at it and to get it repaired right away, which was a great comfort after having acceleration issues and transmission codes. I would not hesitate to bring my jeep back here, and I don't trust my jeep with just anyone! Definitely one of the good ones!
